According to Pablo Picasso,
“Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life.”
We couldn’t agree more! At Hawaii Fluid Art, we understand that art is a powerful tool for self-care and mental health, and we love using art to enhance the lives of those in our community.
Local Art Classes for Diverse Groups
Our community outreach is especially focused on these populations that can benefit significantly from art classes:
Art Class For Veterans
We have taught art classes to veteran-centric charities, such as the Wounded Warrior Project®, to help counter the effects of depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and even some phobias.
Art Classes For Foster Children
Working with foster organizations and children’s advocacy groups, we give vulnerable kids a way to express their emotions without using words, process complex feelings and boost their self-esteem.
Art Classes For Older Adults
We enjoy working with senior centers, retirement communities, and memory care facilities. Looking at or making art can help patients with Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia feel calmer and more engaged. In a broader sense, art classes help all older adults improve their memory, daily life skills, and mental health.
Hawaii Fluid Art’s mission is to inspire and nurture the human spirit, one painting at a time.
Class Details
We offer classes on-site in our studios or off-site at your facility. In either case, we take care of all the supplies, setup, and cleanup. Reading more about our fluid art class here.
